Frequently Asked Questions
What should I bring?
You will need comfortable shoes for walking, a fully charged smartphone and a thirst for adventure!
Is the end point the same as the start point?
None of the missions finish at the exact same point as their start however, they finish close by. The only exception is The Human Resistance which begins at Camden Lock and finishes at Primrose Hill.
What is the difference between games with or without a time limit?
Games with a time limit provide a high energy experience where teams are challenged to complete their mission within the 60 or 75 minute time limit (much like an escape room). Games without a time limit can be completed at leisure and although your time is provided at the end, these games have no fixed time for completion (much like a treasure hunt) with typical duration being 1 - 2 hours.
If we are multiple teams, will we just follow each other?
Generally not; teams usually separate after the first couple of clues as teams will solve them at different speeds.
I can't play on the day I booked for, can I play on another day?
Yes! However, you game link is only valid on the day of your booking. So please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the new date you want to play and we will book you in.
Is there somewhere to leave my bag or possessions?
Unfortunately there's no bag drop facility. Providing you are not looking to set a world record time, wearing a backpack is a good alternative. One participant has even wheeled a suitcase round...
Will there be someone facilitating the experience?
No, each mission is designed to be completely self-managed via your smartphone. When you arrive at the start point, just tap the link in your confirmation email to receive your top secret mission brief.
How fit do I need to be?
The missions are designed for all levels of fitness and can be completed at walking pace. Details of the distance each game covers can be found on the Games page.
Is this suitable for wheelchair users and/or buggies?
All our missions follow step-free routes however The Last Stand and The Trumpet Conundrum involve some rough and uneven trails. The Human Resistance, Lazarus Stone and Murder of D. Beagle run along paved and tarmac routes.
Do I need any mobile data?
Yes, however you will use less than 10mb per mission – the same as listening to 2 or 3 MP3 music tracks!
Is there an age limit?
The minimum age to book is 18 years old as of the date of booking.
Those under the age of 18 years old may play but they must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years old.
Is it suitable for kids?
The game themes and the difficulty level of the puzzles is aimed at a 12+ years audience.
Do I have to play all five games?
You can play as many games as you wish! However, we challenge you to complete all 5 before Monday 26th August 2019, and in doing so, complete Mission Camden!
